About the UKBlues Federation
The UKBlues Federation is a pan UK not for profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting the Blues in all its forms across the UK.
As an Active Member of the European Blues Union, the organisers of the European Blues Challenge (EBC), and the UK’s sole Affiliate of the Blues Federation, the organisers of the International Blues Challenge (IBC), the UKBlues Federation is charged with running the selection process for a national representative to take part in both these Challenges.
This is the fourth crowd funding campaign that the UKBlues Federation has run in support of the UK’s representative at the IBC & EBC. Kyla Brox and her band are the third UK representatives to participate in the IBC.
In 2017, the UK’s Kaz Hawkins Band won the EBC and reached the semi-finals of the IBC.
Other bands that have represented the UK at the EBC and, for the last three years at the IBC, are:
Ben Poole, 24 Pesos, Babajack, David Migden & the Twisted Roots, Laurence Jones, Red Butler and LaVendore Rogue. Many of these acts have subsequently enjoyed great success in Europe.
