Katie Knipp Band Live at the Green Room Social Club a great listen… a live recording that captures the abilities and energy of a band that knows how to put on a show

Keith Thompson reflects on Smoke and Mirrors a very good blues guitar album that, whilst it doesn’t break new ground, it is still original and any blues tropes are used intelligently and a new sheen applied. Highly recommended, especially for guitar lovers that appreciate sensitivity over flashy.

Mick Simpson revisits The Slow Blues Sessions a wonderful album packed with skilful guitar playing throughout the eleven tracks

Eva Carboni deploys Smoke And Mirrors a great listen and a fine follow up to Italia Square with Eva pouring heart and soul into every word backed by some very talented musicians.

Joanne Shaw Taylor plays Blues From The Heart Live a stupendous album recorded live in support of The Blues Album which was stupendous too. Add in the live audience, the ridiculously talented Joanne, star guests and faultless performances all round and you get an unmissable package of impeccable blues and blues-rock.

Mudlow take a Bad Turn a wonderfully inventive and satisfying album which, after a few listens, allows a full appreciation of the layers the band sprinkle liberally across the songs. Lots to enjoy so don’t dismiss it after one cursory stream…give it a few run-throughs and you won’t be disappointed.
