Adam Norsworthy Puts Together ‘Supergroup’ for New Solo Album and Debuts First Video for Epic Sounding Blues Ballad
Adam is one of the most established, versatile and widely known faces on the UK scene, having been the frontman (singer, guitarist, primary songwriter) of The Mustangs for 20 years, as well as guitarist and songwriter in the highly regarded Milk Men. He is also a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter solo artist.
In Time I Will Forget You – the first single from the anticipated album, Infinite Hotel his fourth solo album, due out on March 4th, 2022.
Bluesdoodles thoughts: The first single from an album is important to get the ears in a crowded market. On his fourth solo album, Adam Norsworthy has nailed it Infinite Hotel promises to be a ‘solo’ album that has NOT been created in isolation but surrounded by friends and fellow musicians who add their voice to the musical narrative. (Perhaps reflecting that many of us have had enough of being isolated in our own thoughts but now what to gather around us the people most important to our health and wellbeing!)
The opening chords and beat are voluptuous. Then Adam’s vocals with a melancholic edge, full of yearning and confusion add to the mix. The vocals rise in a crescendo of emotions reflected by the video’s backdrop of the dramatic calving of a glacier. Ice tumbling down into the churning waters, The perfecy=t combination for this powerful anthemic number. A ballad with attitude. The single will please fans of Adam’s solo work and find many new fand as they wait to explore the Infinite Hotel.
The songs on Infinite Hotel explore themes of love, loss, mortality, the environment, and the human need to explore the cosmos and find not only meaning to life, but a new home – perhaps even a series of ‘hotel’ planets to be inhabited, one after the other, until the universe itself dies.
“There are such big themes on this album that it needed a big sound, and we have got that “states Adam. “But it still boils down to the essential essence of a voice, a story and a guitar; critically, the intimacy is still there amidst the huge soundscapes of the songs.”
Adam Norsworthy has brought together some of the finest & most respected musicians from the UK’s blues-rock scene to back him on his new solo album, Infinite Hotel.
