Walter Trout Announces New Album We’re All In This Together
FEATURING 14 FRIENDS AND A-LIST GUEST MUSICIANS.
Including John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa, Randy Bachman, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Sonny Landreth, & Warren Haynes.
Out September 1st via Provogue/Mascot Label Group
WalterTrout will be releasing his brand new studio album ‘We’re All In This Together’ on September 1st via Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The album features a stellar cast of guests; John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa, Randy Bachman, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Warren Haynes, Sonny Landreth, Charlie Musselwite, Mike Zito, Robben Ford, Eric Gales, Edgar Winter, Joe Louis Walker , John Németh and his son Jon Trout
WalterTrout is the beating heart of the modern blues rock scene. Respected by the old guard. Revered by the young guns. Adored by the fans who shake his hand after the show each night. After five decades in the game, Trout is a talismanic figure and the glue that bonds the blues community together, at a time when the wider world has never been so divided. He’s also the only artist with the vision, talent and star-studded address book to pull off a project on the scale of We’re All In This Together. “It was quite a piece of work to get this record together,” he admits. “But I guess I have a lot of friends, y’know…?”
Before you even hear a note, We’re All In This Together has your attention. Drafting fourteen A-list stars – including Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mayall and Randy Bachman – and writing an original song for each, Trout has made the most tantalising album of the year, and found solace after a run of solo albums that chronicled his near-fatal liver disease of 2014. “Now was the right time for this record,” he says. “Battle Scars was such an intense piece of work, written with tears coming down my face. I needed a break from that, to do something fun and light-hearted. This album was joyous for me.”
Scan the credits of We’re All In This Together and you’ll find nods to every twist and turn of Trout’s electrifying backstory. There’s keys man and long-time friend Skip Edwards, who came up on the same early-’70s New Jersey circuit where Trout cut his teeth as the precocious lead guitarist for Wilmont Mews. There’s organ wizard Deacon Jones, the West Coast bandleader who brought a twenty-something Trout into the orbit of blues titans like John Lee Hooker and Big Mama Thornton. “Deacon sorta discovered me when I moved to LA in the ’70s,” reflects Trout. “So I owe him.”
Since he struck out alone in 1989, Trout’s solo career has been every bit as celebrated. Touring tirelessly and spitting out classic albums that include 1990’s flag-planting Life In The Jungle, 1998’s breakthrough WalterTroutand 2012’s politically barbed Blues For The Modern Daze, he’s won international acclaim and enjoyed ever-growing sales in a notoriously fickle industry. Years on the road have also brought him tight friendships, as evidenced by 2006’s cameo-fuelled Full Circlealbum and this year’s unofficial sequel, We’re All In This Together.“The new album was originally gonna be called Full Circle Volume 2,”notes Trout, “but I wanted to make the title a positive statement in this time of madness.”
They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. If that’s the case, then We’re All In This Together is further proof of WalterTrout’s position at the hub of the blues scene. This is the sound of an artist not just getting by with a little help from his friends, but positively thriving, on an album that is sure to light another rocket under his blooming late career. “I’m 66 years old,” considers Trout, “but I feel like I’m in the best years of my life right now. I feel better than I have in years physically. I have more energy. I have a whole different appreciation of being alive, of the world, of my family, of my career. I want life to be exciting and celebratory. I want to dig in. I want to grab life by the balls and not let go, y’know…?”
Finland’s most acclaimed progressive rock group Von Hertzen Brothers are excited to announce that they will be releasing a new album titled “VII – War is Over” this coming Autumn and will be supporting it with an extensive UK tour.

The band are currently locked away in a studio in Helsinki Finland, where they are mixing down the last tracks for their much-anticipated new album.
Singer Mikko Von Hertzen says: “ We (The Brothers) are so excited by the songs on our new album. We took a little breather to give space for seeds to sprout and for musical ideas to grow and flourish. So what we now have is a beautiful garden of all different kinds of songs. We feel there is a new fresh magic and energy in this record that we are all extremely excited about and we cannot wait to unleash these songs across audiences in the UK”.
The Tasmanian Devil, Rob Tognoni, will be back on tour in the UK and Ireland in August and September 2017. All dates feature Gaz Rackham on bass and Mike Hellier on drums. “From Australia & introduced to Europe by blues master Dave Hole in 1994, Rob Tognoni delivers a 100% powerfully charged experience with every performance. There is simply no compromise, which is strongly evident in his music. After 30 years his explosive guitar playing and unique songs are now being compared with the greats of his genre and have firmly established him in the European venues & festivals as well as gaining many fans of hard blues rock worldwide.“
Bluesdoodles thoroughly enjoyed Rob Tognoni at HRH Blues 2016 we said “Sunday Brunch, was hardcore not for the faint-hearted this was rock heavy blues from the Tasmanian Devil himself Rob Tognoni. He tore up the main stage what a start to the second day of HRH Blues.“
Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening Out June 2017 – On January 21st and 22nd 2016 world-renowned platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated blues-rock, singer-songwriter and guitarist Joe Bonamassa performed two unique all-acoustic shows at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City. Both performances were filmed and made into “Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening”.
“Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening” is an evening of extraordinary music with new arrangements of favourite songs as well as brand new, never-before-heard songs.
The line-up is completed with Reese Wynans (piano), Anton Fig (Drums) Eric Bazilian (mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone, acoustic guitar, vocals), and three Australian backing vocalists, Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins and Gary Pinto.
Bonamassa comments: “Despite being among the most ambitious things I’ve done – I played with a 9 piece acoustic band – It came out great. It was a typical Joe freak show.”
Everyone knows the old saying about how to get to Carnegie Hall, but Bonamassa has truly lived that advice. His entire life and musical career had been practice for this moment, and a young blues-boy finally made good on a childhood dream of playing one of the most hallowed stages in the world.
This stripped-down, all-acoustic show allowed his fans a glimpse into his soul and presented a thrilling and musically dangerous spectacle akin to walking a tightrope without a net.

An impressive list of former winners of the Sena Performers European Guitar Award led the way for him: Slash from Guns N’ Roses, Brian May from Queen, Walter Trout and Steve Lukather from the band Toto.
Joe says: “This is really a big thing for me, looking at the people who won it before me. Guitar players like Brian May, Steve Vai, Steve Lukather and Walter Trout are such an inspiration. I’m honoured by this.”
For Oh Susanna 2017 Equals
New Album New Tour Dates
New Album – A Girl in Teen City
“Here is my story of A Girl in Teen City. Trying to find out who she is while trying to be something she isn’t. Falling in love, getting drunk, having her heart broken, hanging out with friends in bedrooms, basements and parking lots, sneaking into shows in burnt out warehouses, watching the waves, walking home over bridges and railroad tracks in all that endless rain.” Oh Susanna/Suzie Ungerleider
A Girl in Teen City reunites Suzie Ungerleider with producer Jim Bryson. Jim and Suzie collaborated on her previous release Namedropper, an album featuring the songs of Canada’s top songwriters written specifically for Oh Susanna to interpret. With six other critically-acclaimed albums of original songs in her carpet bag, Oh Susanna tells stories of troubled souls who rebel against their circumstances to attain a quiet dignity. They are outsiders, real and imagined, but rarely herself. This time, with the urging by her friend and co-conspirator, Jim Bryson, she embarked on a time machine to visit her teenage self in a sleepy port town that she thought no one had ever heard of.
The Juno-nominated and Genie award-winning Canadian songstress began performing as Oh Susanna in the mid-1990s, crafting a persona that matched the timeless qualities of her music, sounds that drew from the deep well off early 20th Century folk, country and blues, yet rooted in her finely-honed storytelling skills.
