Countdown to new Blues Festival for Kent Blues on The Farm

Woolton Farm, Bekesbourne, Canterbury

June 15-17

A new festival, inspired by the much-missed original Blues On The Farm in Chichester, and organised by the team responsible for the successful A New Day Festival held at Mt Ephraim Gardens in August, is set to take place 15th-17th June.

Whereas A New Day largely features progressive and classic rock, Blues On The Farm is primarily aimed at blues and blues-rock enthusiasts, and the inaugural festival promises some outstanding bands at the forefront of British blues.

Multi-award winners King King, the eight-piece incarnation of Nine Below Zero, Dr Feelgood, Climax Blues Band, Jo Harman, Mike Sanchez and his band, Rebecca Downes, Vince Lee And The Big Combo, Marcus Bonfanti (from Ten Years After), Catfish, ex-Them and Poormouth’s Jackie McAuley, Robin Bibi Band, Band Of Friends (celebrating the music of Rory Gallagher) and others are confirmed, and festival attendees are promised a real treat as Martin Barre, Grammy Award winning guitarist with legendary rockers Jethro Tull, is putting a one-off blues band together exclusively for Blues On The Farm – a unique performance, not to be missed.

The venue is the home of Kentish Pip cider, and bars will also be well stocked with excellent wines, real ales and lagers, all at very reasonable prices.

New festival capturing the full lexicon of blues sounds that will please everyone.

Camping and glamping (luxury camping) are available, and parking is free.
