This is a hard rock album that demands your attention, Revolution Saints are; Deen Castronovo, (Cacophony, Journey, Hardline etc.) Jack Blades Night Ranger, Damn Yankees etc.) and Doug Aldrich (DIO, Whitesnake & Burning Rain). These are gigantic artist who have combined to form a group that are a band of musicians producing rock loud and clear. Revolution Saints transport you into the world of heavy rock, they produce the sound they promise not disguising it as any other genre, they are rocky, melodic and know how to thrash the guitar and layer on the sound so that the speakers blast out a full sound, they will delight rockers across the land.
Opening track on this twelve track album is Back On My Trail and your ears and feet tell you instantly that you are on a rocky road that will delight with power chords, gritty guitar, melodic vocals and high-octane delivery of the driving beat it is a road that you will want to travel down.
The fourth track Locked Out Of Paradise is full of Doug Aldrich’s trademark guitar work and is followed by Way To The Sun, back to the ballad that has the hidden nugget with guitar that is certainly nothing you would expect from a traditional ballad and the addition of Arnel Pineda as co-vocalist with Deen adds that dimension that makes the track standout from the crowd. This is due to the guitar legend Neal Schon playing alongside Jack Blades and Allessandro Del Vecchio on vocals.
Way To The Sun is gentler and the quality of the musicianship shines through as the lyrics and rhythm section drives the tune along, Don’t Walk Away is full of piano and vocals that changes the mood and shape again to keep the album interesting and giving every one of the excellent musicians a chance to develop and shape the sound.
The closing track is a piano led ballad, In the Name Of The Father (Fernado’s Song) leaving you with wonderful vocals, and an album that is heavy grade candy floss that has spun the strands of rock from the 80’s & 90’s full of rich melodies and have created sweet rock for 2015 and beyond as a celebration of classic rock of the past and future. Alessandro Del Vecchio, adds keyboards throughout the album and his production skills and understanding of the sound, shape and form Revolution Saints are aiming to deliver as the three collaborate to produce a complete sound shines through an album that has every tone you expect from shredding guitar rock with melody.
