Following the Planet Rock Roadstars co-headline tour in winter 2016, Federal Charm amicably parted ways with vocalist/guitarist Nick Bowden and drummer Danny Rigg. Paul Bowe and LD Morawski quickly went to work rebuilding the band, bringing in new vocalist Tom Guyer and drummer Josh Zahler.

Tom Guyer’s powerful and characterful voice led to immediate chemistry as he joined Paul and LD in writing sessions for Federal Charm’s third album. His wide vocal range opened up new creative possibilities during songwriting and has introduced a new dynamic to top Federal Charm’s recognisable sound, which itself has developed since 2015’s Across The Divide. Josh Zahler mixes in his own distinctive drumming style to inject exciting new grooves to the rhythm section.

2017 saw a select number of high profile gigs supporting UFO, Y&T and Brian Downey’s Thin Lizzy which introduced the new lineup to old and new fans alike, receiving a fantastic reception and providing a glimpse of the impact the transformed Federal Charm can make. The success of these shows, plus tasters of new material, has already resulted in the band being picked up by global touring agent TKO.

The band is currently in the studio recording album Number Three. The new sound has come together perfectly and leaves the band extremely eager to showcase the new songs on their Spring tour, with the album scheduled for release later this year.
