“The Holy Trinity of Belfast rock ‘n roll – Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher & Gary Moore – might just be on the verge of becoming a four-leaf clover.” PERFORMER MAGAZINE USA

Simon is a favourite of Bluesdoodles his live performances is a guitar workout full of entertainment and smoking blues rock. We saw him last at The Tunnels in Bristol and wrote; “Opening with Heartbreaker, from Crossing The Line Album we were off with the classy guitar we expect from the Irish guitar wizard.”  READ the review HERE

The end of 2016 saw McBride touring with Ian Gillan, filling the shoes of Ritchie Blackmore in a programme of Deep Purple songs that played across Europe. The first half of 2017 has him touring with uber-keyboardist Don Airey (another member of Deep Purple), followed by an outing with Whitesnake offshoot, Snakecharmer.

With his band of fellow Irishmen Marty McCloskey (drums) and Dave Marks (bass) Simon delivers his own distinctive songs (“Hugely accomplished” MOJO) along with crowd-pleasers from the likes of Hendrix and Free plus of course, explosive guitar playing!

Do not miss out on the opportunity to watch, listen and be mesmerised by the playing of Simon McBride and his Band  BOOK YOUR TICKET HERE NOW!

Leaving a LEGACY new Album from Cadillac Three

The Cadillac Three Delivers New Album Legacy Leaving a LEGACY new Album from Cadillac Three
OUT AUGUST 24TH
VIA BIG MACHINE RECORDS

Leaving a lasting impression on fans across the globe with their high-octane live show and chart-topping songwriting skills, THE CADILLAC THREE continue to make their mark with LEGACY, out August 25th on Big Machine Records. The project fueled with lyrics of life moments from weddings and babies to celebrating their road-tested brotherhood as the three Nashville natives craft 11 songs exuding pure honesty over driving melodies. FULFILLING THEIR LEGACY …
RELEASE VIDEO FOR TITLE TRACK TODAY

A natural progression for the band who has been creating music together since high school, Legacy offers a deep understanding of what is truly important – relationships. Grammy-nominated, chart-topping songwriter and frontman Jaren Johnston penned the track alongside Ben Burgess and Laura Veltz delicately crafting lyrics like:
When I’m gone, my name carved in stone
Over husband, friend, and father
Survived by son, wife, and daughter
It won’t be songs that keep me livin’ on
Girl, as hall of fame as I wanna be
It’s a lot of love and a little family tree
Hell, that’s a legacy
“’Legacy’ is a song I am super proud of! In the past, I’ve given away songs of this caliber because I didn’t feel our band was ready to take on that role … or maybe I wasn’t ready to sing those types of lyrics, shared Jaren with American Songwriter. “I think our band is ready, and I am there now. This is the perfect song for where we all are in our lives.”

Another part of TC3’s past and future is their hometown heritage. On August 31st, they will take the stage for their first-ever headline show at the historic Ryman Auditorium. “You grow up seeing your favourite bands with your buddies, date nights with your love and special shows with your family here,” explains Neil. “The Ryman is an institution, and we’re really excited – and honoured – to share the night with so many people who’ve been a part of our journey. It’s always a crazy ride with The Cadillac Three!”

The band also returns to their second home of the UK as part of their ‘Long Hair Don’t Care’ tour, playing nine dates across the country, including a highly anticipated show in the capital at O2 Kentish Town Forum.

They will be joined by special guests Brothers Osborne and Broken Witt Rebels. “We all may be from different parts of the world but it’s really cool to have the spirit of a song bring us together!” said Kelby. “We’re really looking forward to introducing some new tunes.”

delights, which work as a narrative within and album. For everyone who have had the joy to see them live, Graffiti, Party Like You , White Lightning and Peace Love & Dixie take you straight back to steamy, hot pack live music venues.”  Read the rest of the review HERE

THE RED DEVILS ARE BACK!

The real thing – not a tribute act

The re-formed Red Devils are touring with ZZ Top this summer. When they visit the UK and Ireland they will have a few days open before returning to the US …..

Twenty-five years after their seminal live recording “King King” THE RED DEVILS continue to inspire a generation of blues lovers drawn to their gritty Chicago and Texas-inspired blues, by way of Hollywood, California.

Members of the band from that album recording PAUL “THE KID” SIZE (guitar), BILL “BUSTER” BATEMAN (drums) and JONNY RAY BARTEL (bass) are joined by MIKE FLANIGIN (who toured with the band though didn’t record). Taking the role of the late Lester Butler is Delta Groove recording artist BIG PETE, a monster harp player, front man and singer who attributes his entire musical existence to seeing The Red Devils in 1993.

The Red Devils Three Nights Live In The UKFrom their Monday night haunt at Hollywood club “King King” they developed a cult-like following. Producer Rick Rubin was one of those regulars, eventually producing the band’s “King King” album (recorded live at the club). Rubin then brought them into the studio with fan Mick Jagger. Years before the Rolling Stones returned to their blues roots on record, Jagger and the Devils laid down nearly two dozen rowdy blues classics that sounded raw and real. The sessions went unreleased officially, but circulated widely as a popular bootleg. One cut “Checkin’ Up On My Baby” finally was released on Jagger’s 2006 “Very Best” compilation.

After that session, Rubin again called on the Devils, this time to back the legendary Johnny Cash. Those recordings were also shelved until the Cash “Unearthed” box set. The Allman Brothers fell in love with the Devils’ sound taking them on their 1992 East Coast tour. The Red Devils disbanded in 1994 and front man Lester Butler died in 1998 aged 38, but a fervent fan base keeps The Red Devils’ fame alive.

A re-formed line up of the legendary LA-band THE RED DEVILS is touring with ZZ TOP this summer. When they visit the UK and Ireland they will play three standalone shows – July 28 in Belfast, July 29 in Poynton and July 30 in London. Twenty-five years after their seminal live recording “King King” THE RED DEVILS continue to inspire a generation of blues lovers drawn to their gritty Chicago and Texas-inspired blues, by way of Hollywood, California.
